The Met Gala | Vera & Kerry Washington

Last night Kerry Washington and Vera attended the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit together. Vera and Kerry dazzled on the red carpet at THE fashion event of the year.

Kerry wore a custom Vera Wang sleeveless V-neck lavender metallic floral print mermaid gown with bubble lace veiled decolletage, silk and lace flange detail at the train and chrysanthemum lace peplum accent, accessorized with a pair of black hand- stitched opera length lamb skin gloves.

Vera wore a custom black sleeveless web lace soft mermaid gown with crinoline overlay accented by inner bandeau and mini skirt of her own design.

Seventh Annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala

Last night at the Seventh Annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala, the Delete Blood Cancer Award was presented to Vera as well as Suzi Weiss-Fischmann and Leighton Meester for their promotion of Delete Blood Cancer’s ‘Share the Love’ campaign encouraging people to get swabbed and register as bone marrow donors. Last night at The Breast Cancer Research foundation 2013 Hot Pink Party, Vera and many others showed their support for all those affected by Breast Cancer.

Here is what Vera had to say about the event:

In honor of one of the kindest, most beautiful, intelligent, and dedicated philanthropists….the late great evelyn lauder. I will miss you tonight and forever for your kindness to my family! ‘Think pink’ for breast cancer! I will forever honor that mandate for my friend evelyn lauder! What an honor to celebrate her work for so many others. Pink was the color of my night as I didn’t want evelyn to lose faith in me! Gayle king, Alina Chow, Zac Posen, and John Dempsey all helped me celebrate a true philanthropic legacy not to mention my fellow co-chairs and the lauder family! Xx V”
