“It’s America’s park. No matter how the city grows, it’s always there. Thank goodness!” – Vera.
Central Park – an oasis fit for over 8 million people. An escape from the big smoke. A playground in the summer. A fairytale in the winter. New York City would simply not be the same without Central Park. Now that summer is officially here, it’s time to pull yourself away from your air conditioning units, pack a picnic and head to Sheep Meadow. Sheep Meadow is located at West side/mid-Park from 66th to 69th Streets and is open from April to mid-October dawn to dusk in fair weather. The 15-acre preserve is the perfect spot for families, sunbathers, picnickers, kite flyers, or simply just a place to relax and admire the New York City skyline. After that, make sure you take a stroll down Poet’s Walk – you can’t miss it!
Well, we know where we’ll be this weekend.
