Did you have a certain style in mind when you started your search for a dress?
I had an idea of the type of dress I would like but I also had an open mind and wanted to try on a variety of dresses to see what style suited me best.
What made you decide on your Vera Wang gown?
Very simple, no other dress compared to how I felt when I put on the Isobella dress. It felt dreamy and magical, it was just how I had imagined it should feel when wearing the dress you get married in. I couldn’t stop smiling and my mum and sisters loved it.
Did you bring anyone along dress shopping? If so, did their opinions influence your final decision?
My mum and sisters came, we all have a very similar taste, I knew I could count on their honest opinion.
How did you accessorize to make your wedding day outfit unique?
I borrowed a pair of pearl and diamond earings and a diamond necklace from Malcolm Jewellers in Belfast, the jewellers where my husband purchased my engagement ring.
What was the inspiration or theme for your wedding?
The wedding was in a country estate so I wanted to compliment this with a romantic, magical, dreamy feel with a hint of vintage.
Did your gown style relate to any other design elements of the wedding (ie. cake, invitations, etc.)?
The flower girls had a pink flower on their dresses to tie in with the organza flower on my dress. The flowers were soft and romantic like my dress.
Did you incorporate any other Vera Wang products into your wedding?
I complimented the dress with a beautiful Vera Wang Veil.
What was your favorite part of the day?
Too hard to say, it was a brilliant day. Having all the most important people in your life together for the celebration made it amazing.
What tips do you have for new brides picking out their wedding dress?
Keep an open mind and bring people that you know have a similar taste. It is important you trust their opinion and listen to what they say.
Are there any other anecdotes you would like to share?
Everything went so smoothly, nothing happened that I didn’t expect. It was exactly how I imagined and better.
