With the Fourth of July nearly upon us, it means it’s time for backyard barbecues, sunny beach days and bare feet! Beat the heat, and take advantage of one of summer’s best, with a fabulous Watermelon-Mint Cooler. Whether you choose to add vodka for an instant cocktail, or you prefer to drink a non-alcoholic “mocktail,” this refreshingly delicious recipe is sure to become a fave! Cheers!
Ingredients (serves 4)
4 cups seedless watermelon chunks (around 1 pound)
1 ½ cups lemonade
1/2 cup fresh mint
1. In a blender, puree the watermelon and lemonade; strain if desired.
2. Simply stir in the mint and serve on ice!
3. For an alcoholic cocktail: Stir in 1/2 cup vodka or tequila before serving
