Friends and Family – They’re Worth Celebrating!

Love, friendship and family – they’re worth celebrating! When visiting a friend for the weekend, strike the perfect note of appreciation and fun with a set of Vera Wang for Wedgwood “Classic” Platinum goblets and a pitcher of our perfectly refreshing Summer Sangria! This easy recipe will be a great way to show off your bartending skills and start the party with your friends on any summer afternoon! (Tip: Summer Sangria is always a crowd-pleaser, you may consider doubling the recipe!)

Summer Sangria:

1 Bottle of your favorite red wine! (A few suggestions… Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Shiraz)
1 Lemon cut into wedges
1 Orange cut into wedges
1 Lime cut into wedges
2 Tbsp sugar
Splash of orange juice or lemonade
2 Shots of gin or triple sec (optional)
1 Cup of raspberries or strawberries (we recommend fresh fruit, but frozen works as well!)
1 Small can of diced pineapples (with juice)
4 Cups ginger ale

Pour the wine of your choice into a large pitcher (we recommend the Dusk Large Pitcher from the Vera Wang for Wedgwood Collection) and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and gin. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale, berries and ice before serving. If you plan to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over an endless amount of ice. (Keep in mind that the best Sangrias are chilled around 24 hours in the fridge – allowing the flavors to really marinate into each other) Lastly, pour into chilled goblets, serve and enjoy!
