A featured in the June 26, 2011 issue of New York Times, “Alice Payne Childress and Christopher Channing Daniels were married Saturday evening at the Clifton Inn in Charlottesville, Va. Bhavani Metro, a minister with Integral Yoga, officiated.
Mrs. Daniels, 29, is the advertising and creative services director at Vera Wang in New York. She graduated from Oberlin College.
She is the daughter of Barbara Payne and James M. Childress of Free Union, Va. The bride’s father is a founder and the managing director of Old Dominion Capital Management, an investment management firm in Charlottesville.
Mr. Daniels, 30, is an artist in New York. His drawings and paintings were on display earlier this month at Volta7, an art fair in Basel, Switzerland. He graduated from Temple University.
He is a son of Courtnay Sylvan Daniels and Terrence David Daniels of Greenwood, Va. The bridegroom’s mother is on the board of the Garden Conservancy in Cold Spring, N.Y. His father is a founder and the managing partner of Quad-C Management, an investment firm in Charlottesville.”
