Did you have a certain style in mind when you started your search for a dress?
I just wanted a dress that was flowy, light and fit me right. I wanted something with a sweetheart neckline, that didn’t have any beading, and wasn’t traditional.
What made you decide on your Vera Wang gown?
There was no question once I put it on. It was the one. It was absolutely perfect. I am so happy that I chose the Diana.
Did you bring anyone along dress shopping to help make a decision?
I went to Ever After to try on the Diana with my mom and my best friend. The three of us have similar taste, so once I came out in the Diana we were all in agreeance that it was the dress for me.
What was the inspiration or theme for your wedding?
I wanted something chic/contemporary but romantic as well.
What was your favorite part of the day?
There were so many! It was definitely the best day of my life. If I had to choose just one, it would have to be when the doors opened in the ceremony and I saw Jesse for the first time. He just looked so handsome and I was ready to get the show on the road!
What tips do you have for new brides picking out their wedding dress?
Make sure that the dress you pick is the dress that makes you feel the most beautiful. Your wedding should be one of the happiest days in your life and you should feel gorgeous!
Are there any other anecdotes you would like to share?
Before I tried on the Vera Wang gown, I had already been given another dress as a gift. For months before the wedding I just knew it wasn’t the dress for me. After enough complaining to my friends and family, my best friend made me an appointment at Ever After two months before my wedding date so that I could try on the Diana. There was no comparison. I am so happy that I still had the chance to get another dress. My wedding day would not have been the same without it.
